LIHEAP:

• Beginning October 1, elderly, age 60 years and older and/or disabled household member, who may also be disconnected from their utilities or under imminent threat of losing their heating source from propane/wood may apply for assistance.
• Applications will be accepted until May 31 or until funds are depleted.

Utility Assistance: Provides assistance to low-income individuals for gas bill assistance. Partial payments are made to avoid utility cut-offs.

A supplemental nutrition program for pregnant, breast feeding and postpartum women and their infants and children to age five. Recipients must meet income guidelines and qualify as "nutritionally at risk" based on a medical & nutritional assessment.

This police department is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. Person stating that they are the parent may leave an infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.
