Each participating household receives an allotment of food benefits based on the USDA�s �Thrifty Food Plan�. This allotment is adjusted annually according to the U. S. Department of Labor�s analysis of the cost of food. Missouri Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) is the method by which households receive and use food stamp benefits. Households may use their Missouri EBT card in any grocery store or retail location anywhere in the United States that has been authorized by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and displays the Quest� sign. The benefits may be used to purchase any food or food products prepared for human consumption except alcoholic beverages and tobacco, hot foods, or foods prepared for immediate consumption. Benefits may also be used to buy seeds and plants for use in gardens to produce food for the personal consumption of the household. Under certain conditions, members of the eligible households who are 60 years of age or older may use the benefits to pay for home delivered meals and other meals prepared for elderly persons.

Financial assistance may be provided when certain qualifications are met, call Emergency Communication Services at (877) 272-7337. Special projects and outreach are also provided to veterans.

Foster Care Case Management: Provides assessment of placement, home visitation counseling and support, obtaining resources, reunification and permanency planning meetings, interventions to ensure that children who enter foster care have safe, stable, and permanent long-term caregivers.

Crisis Intervention for individuals and families impacted by violence, Trauma Response Team (staff and volunteers) canvass door-to-door in neighborhoods following a homicide or violent incident to invite residents to access AdHoc services and encourage cooperation with delivering much needed justice, Prayer vigils to honor homicide victims, community and youth 24-Hour Hot Lines to receive tips, report missing persons or address neighborhood safety issues, flier distribution by staff and volunteers for missing adults and teens.

Summer Orientation and Mobility and Adapted Living Resources (SOAR): Three week residential training program held at Webster University providing legally blind students ages 15-21 years with one on one lessons in activities of daily living and prevocational training.
