This medical center is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. Person stating that they are the parent may leave an infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Serving as a liaison with the police and state's attorney's office, an advocate lends support to the survivor, assists in reporting the crime to law enforcement, helps prepare the survivor for court, and attends the court dates with the survivor.

The HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine is provided free of charge to girls and women ages 9-26 not covered by adequate insurance or who do not qualify for Missouri's free Vaccines For Children (VFC) program.
