Burns Recovered offers two different scholarships: 1) Jim Neff Passionship - To provide scholarships for Midwest Children’s Burn Camp participants who have a specific hobby or passion that they enjoy participating in and would like to take a class to continue that interest. Examples of this may include cooking or dance classes, a creative writing course, a basketball camp, guitar lessons, or anything the camper would like to pursue that makes them happy. This scholarship is named after Jim Neff, long-time counselor and dedicated volunteer of Midwest Children’s Burn Camp. 2) College/Trade Scholarship - available to help burn survivors to pursue education after high school or need to be retrained as a result of their burn injuries. Funding is given directly to school/training for tuition and or school supplies.

Provides background information on registered child care, elder care, and personal care workers or to request licensure status information on licensed child care and elder care providers. This service is intended to provide information to help families and employers make informed decisions when hiring employees to work with children, the elderly, and the disabled.

Youth Build Program allows people 16-24 years of age to go the classes to obtain their GED while also working in the construction field or as a CNA. Youth are paid minimum wage while working and attending classes.

• Not on Tobacco (N.O.T.): Program for teens who are smokers and want to quit smoking using a group program.

• Freedom from Smoking: Provides a step-by-step plan for individuals to quit smoking either in a clinic setting or electronically online.

Provides free legal representation to low income clients in a number of civil legal problems; criminal defense representation is not provided; they handle cases involving public benefits, housing, unemployment compensation, family, consumer, education, employment, health and other matters.

Pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners provides preventative care as well as the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions in children, services include sports physicals.

Rural Health Clinic that provides Family Practice services. OCH Jasper County Clinic services include wellness care (annual wellness exams, well woman exams, well child and sick child care, early periodic screenings), immunizations, treatment of acute illnesses and injuries (common cold, flu, earache, simple lacerations), management of acute and chronic health conditions (hypertension, diabetes care, COPD, hyperlipidemia), lab services, and OB (prenatal) services.

Senior Center offers activities and provides programs to enrich the physical, social, and emotional well being of it participants.

Internal Medicine and primary care physicians care for acute and chronic medical conditions. Multiple clinics are available.
