Provides emergency assistance in controlling and putting out fires

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Utility Assistance: Provides assistance to low-income individuals for electric bill assistance. Partial payments are made to avoid utility cut-offs.

Teen and Pediatric Clinic: Offers a variety of health services including physical exams and screenings, family planning, immunizations, STD services, social work and counseling.

Accepts donations of infant's, children's, men's, and women's clothing.

Provides various exercise classes including chair and yoga exercises.

Your Kidneys and You: Provides education about kidneys, risk factors for kidney disease, and steps to protect kidneys.

Assists with rental payments to those who have been affected by natural disasters.

The Services to Older Refugees program assists older refugees with access to aging services in the community, interpretation and translation services, assistance with independent living, social connections and mental health support, and assistance for those who are on the path to citizenship to naturalize.

The Missouri Board of Probation and Parole, as an essential part of the criminal justice system, is to provide for the professional assessment and release of offenders and their supervision in the community, using appropriate treatment, sanctions, and controls, with the primary consideration being promotion of public safety.

The Junior League trains and places its members as volunteers in league sponsored projects and in other community agencies and programs.

Delivery of meals to frail, homebound elderly. Meals are generally frozen and 7 days of meals are delivered once a week. In some cases up to two meals per each day. CAPACITY Through the use of frozen meals, can provide service for seven days a week and up to two meals per day.

WIC (Women, Infants and Children): Provides food nutrition education and food vouchers for pregnant and postpartum women, new mothers, infants and children younger than age five.

The office works cooperatively with other local, state and federal first responders to ensure the city is prepared to protect life, health and property (in that order) in the event of a disaster or large scale emergency. Serves as the central point of contract for reporting emergency/disaster incidents in Jackson County, Missouri.

Provides stroke rehabilitation services to individuals who have experienced a stroke and/or stroke-related complications.

Low Vision Aid Program (LVAP): need based program for adults wanting to obtain financial assistance to purchase a CCTV, magnifying lamp or handheld video magnifier.

Provides 24 hour/day access to a connector available no matter the severity of the crisis. The stress of reintegration, the long-term effects of survivor guilt, and feelings of isolation, loss, and moral injury can surface at any time. Another warrior who has the experience and wisdom to be their personal advocate (battle buddy) through the process of healing. There are currently more than 37,000 veterans organizations in the US. No warrior should have to navigate those options alone.

Accepts donations of toys and games.

Providing services and basic needs (including beds, backpacks and other items) for kinship, foster and adoptive families; as well as support for older youth ages 17-26 with foster care history. Financial assistance can be offered if clients meet eligibility.
