LIVESTRONG at the YMCA: Wellness coaches trained in the elements of cancer, post rehab exercise and supportive cancer care, work with each participant to help build muscle mass and strength, increase flexibility and endurance, improve day-to-day life, reduce the severity of therapy side effects, prevent unwanted weight changes, improve energy levels and self esteem.

UHBH’s Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit is a short-term, crisis stabilization center for patients 18 years of age and older. Patients receive round-the-clock nursing care and daily program structure, which provides a safe environment during treatment. We tailor care plans to address the needs of each patient. Comprehensive services can include: individual and group therapy, education about medication, nutrition, pain management and wellness, and recreation therapy. Admissions require medical clearance and transfer from the emergency room closest to the patient’s location.

Show-Me Healthy Women: Provides free or reduced-cost breast examinations.

Provides Girl Scout camp site, cabins may also be rented when resident camp is not in session and troops are not booked.

Yoga: Class unites the mind, breath and body to address awareness, flexibility, strength and balance. This class empowers participants to start where they are and grow over time towards improved mobility and quality of life. Standing and mat exercises are taught, but exercises can be modified to be done seated.

Accepts new or gently used arts and crafts supplies such as dry erase boards and markers, contact paper, glue sticks/bottles, construction paper and sensory tables.
