Care Connection for Aging Services and Vernon County Senior Center provide a volunteer transportation service for older adults who need access to medical appointments and other essential services.

Prescription Drug Program: Working with Rx Outreach provides a 90 to 180 day renewable prescription is submitted through our 143 participating parish conferences, based on prescriptions written by physician, clinic or hospital. Vouchers are mailed and Rx is mailed to clients.

Access Crisis Intervention (ACI): Offers 24 hour telephone support and referral for individuals experiencing psychiatric distress.

Provides in-home assessments to seniors to determine eligibility for programs.

Provides a before- and after-school program that engages children in academics and hands-on activities, including snacks, homework time, recreational sports, educational games, and multicultural awareness.

Supported Living: Teaches independent living skills and supports individuals in developing and maintaining the skills needed to succeed in independent living.

Foster Care Case Management: Foster care case managers provide, coordinate and facilitate all services necessary to support the permanency goal for the children in care. Case managers provide for safety and needs assessments, resource acquisition transportation and visitation, court reports, and authorization of funds for services to family members.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Delivery of meals to frail, homebound elderly. Meals are generally frozen and 7 days of meals are delivered once a week. In some cases up to two meals per each day. CAPACITY Through the use of frozen meals, can provide service for seven days a week and up to two meals per day.

Early childhood program designed to provide high-quality educational experiences, health services, social service support, and other opportunities for children and their families. The Early Head Start program provides comprehensive services for pregnant women and their birth-to-3-year-old children.

Health screenings are provided for the following: Cardiovascular, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV, Diabetes, Lead, and tuberculosis. Other screenings available upon request.

Responsible for coordinating governmental offices during natural and man-made disasters and for the coordination of emergency management activities including planning, preparedness, response and recovery. Also, operates an emergency communication center to alert public of hazards.
