Girls on the Run is an evidence based after school program that focuses on character building, physical fitness and creating connections between young girls. We teach goal setting and emotional intelligence with a fitness by product. Our teams are usually school based, meet twice a week for 90 minutes, coached by trained volunteers who have all passed background checks and coaches are never alone with girls. Each season culminates with a celebratory 5K where the girls and their running buddy, complete a 5K that isn't timed, simply celebrated. We hold two seasons each year and cover 5 counties in central MO currently Audrain, Boone, Cole, Miller, and Ralls.
