The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Nursing visits for health assessment and referral are provided two times a month or as needed to Greene County Jail inmates.

Young Parents provides mentored support and encouragement to pregnant and parenting youth between the ages of 14 and 21. These young adults are paired with trained volunteer mentors who support the young adult through the challenging time of pregnancy, childbirth, and the first years of the baby's life. Young Parents also offers parenting classes, life skills training and monthly support meetings.

Health screenings are provided for the following: Cardiovascular, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV, Diabetes, Lead, and tuberculosis. Other screenings available upon request.

Offers an anger management class - a twelve-hour court-approved class, this course is completed over a six-week period.

Nursing Home Transition Services: Independent living specialist will work with a person who is trying to transition from a nursing home back into the community to address skills related to housing, finances, personal care, financial resources and independence.

Provides programs and services for teens who are pregnant or new mothers, including smoking cessation program, advocacy support group, transportation to medical appointments, and a "store" to purchase items after earning points.

Provides counseling and educational services to those who have had an alcohol or drug related traffic offense.

Clinical services providing HIV counseling.

Provides a wide range of specialized medical treatment.

Provides assistance with TANF appeals and/or complaints.

Provides support and guidance to individuals experiencing unplanned pregnancies.

This police department is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. Person stating that they are the parent may leave an infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.

Provides emergency assistance to people in crisis; addresses the causes of poverty through programs that fight unemployment, inadequate housing, poor nutrition and lack of educational opportunity and provides training in advocacy skills.
