The Blind Pension program was established in 1921 and is financed entirely by state funds. This program provides assistance for blind persons who do not qualify under the Supplemental Aid to the Blind law and who are not eligible for Supplemental Security Income benefits. Each eligible person receives a monthly cash grant of $541, as well as state funded medical assistance. The Supplemental Aid to the Blind (SAB) program is operated in conjunction with the Blind Pension program. Eligible individuals receive a monthly cash grant up to and including $718.00, as well as MO HealthNet Coverage.

Licensed occupational therapists work with people to increase independence with self care and activities of daily living such as dressing, personal hygiene, food preparation and eating. Therapists also assist with cognitive therapy and visual perceptions skills that can interfere with other skills.

Provides ambulation, bathing/grooming, bowel/bladder elimination, dressing/undressing, housekeeping, meal preparation, moving in/out of bed, transportation and other functions of daily living .

Child Protective Services assesses and investigates reports of child abuse or neglect, working with local law enforcement as needed.

Comprehensive services to youth ages 16 to 21 in Pemiscot County, to assist them in overcoming barriers that leads to delinquency and/or drop-out rates of school age students. Program provides anger management, conflict management, job readiness training, and helps build self-esteem.

Camp HIS Kids: Provides an overnight camp with therapeutic activities designed to meet the emotional and social needs of campers, as well as the physical needs.

Provides free legal representation to low income clients in a number of civil legal problems; criminal defense representation is not provided; they handle cases involving public benefits, housing, unemployment compensation, family, consumer, education, employment, health and other matters.

Tetanus/diphtheria and Hepatitis A/B immunizations to adolescents and adults.

Social setting detoxification is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This service provides emergency treatment for alcohol and other drug addictions. This treatment stabilizes individuals and prepares them for ongoing treatment.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.
