Duo's Paws for Reading Program places dogs in a classroom or library setting where they act as an incentive for individuals to read more and better. Dogs are viewed as a non-threatening entity to promote reading, writing, and increased interaction and social skills.

Group homes provide individuals with developmental disabilities and their housemates with 24-hour per day support services in a family-type atmosphere. Individuals participate and learn new skills in all areas of daily living in an environment which promotes good health, personal growth and community membership.

Supports youth mental and physical well-being by offering music therapy services.

The Job Readiness program is a four-week course held every month. Job Readiness helps participants prepare for obstacles that can happen when they enter the workforce, providing tips for keeping and maintaining steady employment. Internships are also available at Aim4Peace.

MoRx was created by the 93rd General Assembly to coordinate benefits with Medicare's (Part D) Prescription Drug Program, and to provide additional assistance for prescription drug costs to Missourians in need. MoRx pays for 50% of members' out of pocket costs remaining after their Medicare Prescription Drug Plan pays. It pays for 50% of the deductible, 50% of the co-pays before the coverage gap, 50% of the coverage gap, and 50% of co-pays in the catastrophic coverage. MoRx does not pay for the Medicare Part D Plan's monthly premium. MoRx uses the formulary of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Any drug covered by a member's Medicare Drug Plan will also be covered by the MoRx plan. MoRx works with all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Dual eligible members will continue to have coverage for Medicare-excluded drugs through MO HealthNet. Medicare-excluded drugs include specific over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, limited cough and cold drugs, benzodiazepines and barbiturates as they are currently covered by MO HealthNet, as noted on the MO HealthNet Division Pharmacy pages. Extra help with paying for Medicare Part D costs is available from the Social Security Administration (SSA) for individuals with low income and limited assets. All dual eligibles automatically qualify for the extra help in paying for their premiums and co-pays. Other individuals may submit an application for extra help to the SSA.

Provides 1-week and weekend summer camping opportunities.

Program provides reproductive health care to women of child-bearing age. Services include: birth control methods, pregnancy testing, complete physical exams, Pap smears, breast exams, screening for anemia, cholesterol, diabetes and bladder infections, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and vaginal infections, education and referral for HIV testing, and sexuality education. Service is provided at the Madison County Health Department at 806 West College in Fredericktown.

Planned Parenthood provides some gynecology services for its patients throughout their life. They offer peri and post menopausal diagnosis and symptom management at all locations. They will also do Well Woman Exams including pelvic exam, cervical cancer screening, and Pap Smears.

Early Childhood Education Center for children with and without developmental delays, provides on-site physical, occupational and speech therapy and developmental therapy.

Electronic Home Response: A rented electronic device to provide 24 hour access to emergency personnel in an emergency situation within the home.

The Social Welfare Board of Buchanan County provides medical and dental services to the community and serve people who are uninsured and have incomes 200% or below the federal poverty level.

Accepts donations of home medical equipment, in working condition. Devices include, but are not limited to, scooters, canes, crutches and walkers.

Provides clothing vouchers to the St. Vincent DePaul thrift store to those who are unable to purchase clothing on their own.
