JVS Social Work provides at-risk youth and adults with advocacy, community resource referral, and individual and group therapy. These efforts are focused towards underserved refugee and immigrant populations. Social Work staff interacts with a diverse client population to establish a trusting relationship and to identify their needs and goals.

UBCF offers and Individual Grant to breast cancer patients, which can be used for medical expenses such as procedures, prescriptions, nutritious food or supplements, and COBRA insurance payments. All funds are disbursed directly to provider.

Each participating household receives an allotment of food benefits based on the USDA�s �Thrifty Food Plan�. This allotment is adjusted annually according to the U. S. Department of Labor�s analysis of the cost of food. Missouri Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) is the method by which households receive and use food stamp benefits. Households may use their Missouri EBT card in any grocery store or retail location anywhere in the United States that has been authorized by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and displays the Quest� sign. The benefits may be used to purchase any food or food products prepared for human consumption except alcoholic beverages and tobacco, hot foods, or foods prepared for immediate consumption. Benefits may also be used to buy seeds and plants for use in gardens to produce food for the personal consumption of the household. Under certain conditions, members of the eligible households who are 60 years of age or older may use the benefits to pay for home delivered meals and other meals prepared for elderly persons.

Adult Day at the J (ADJ) offers full-day person-centered programming designed to engage participants in a variety of social, physical, and cognitively stimulating activities. Adults with physical/cognitive challenges and older adults are supported with maintaining their independence and thrive in our caring and supportive environment. As a respite service, caregivers also benefit from knowing that their loved one is safe. Activities include daily exercise, pet therapy, modified sports, STEAM activities, therapeutic art, music, and gardening, Nintendo® & VR games, specialized groups, intergenerational events, cooking club, swimming, community outings, and a variety of volunteer projects. ADJ offers two unique programs (Connections and IN) geared to meet the specific needs of participants.

Program funds are used to provide food, rent or mortgage assistance and utility bill assistance. Funding is limited. Please call for additional details.

Workshops given on renting and the rights and responsibilities of renters. Westernization: A two hour workshop that is required by anyone that receive Energy Assistance (ECIP). This Workshop includes information on creating a spending plan and how to make your home more energy efficient.

When a heat alert is issued the senior center will open its doors to the public as a cooling center.

The Eliezer program may be able to provide financial assistance for church workers and missionaries who have 20 years full time or 30 years part time, paid or non-paid service in pastoral or lay ministry. Also assists with needs such as medications, private duty, durable medical equipment, or nutritional supplements and more. Award amounts vary depending on the types of services needed.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.
