The Missouri Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Program provides assistance that helps Missouri adults get the basic skills they need to be productive workers, family members, and citizens. The major areas of support are Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, and English Language Acquisition. These programs emphasize basic skills such as reading, writing, math, English language competency, and problem-solving.

The Children's Division Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline Unit (CA/NHU) accepts confidential reports of suspected child abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Reports are received through a toll-free telephone line which is answered seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Any person may report, and anonymous reports are accepted from individuals who are not mandated by occupation to report. Calls of concern can be made to each county office. Instructions may be given for the reporter to call the toll free number of the CA/NHU for the call to be made into a formal report.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening: This program provides free breast and cervical cancer screening to Missouri women ages 35-64 that are uninsured and with an annual income of 200% poverty or less. Women identified with cancer through the program are eligible for free treatment through the Missouri Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Act. Women should call the national Cancer Institute Cancer Information Service (CIS) at 1-800-422-6237.

The LGBT National Youth Talkline provides free and confidential phone and email peer-counseling, as well as factual information and local resources in the US. Telephone volunteers are in their teens and early twenties, and speak with teens and young adults up to age 25 about coming-out issues, relationship concerns, parent issues, school problems, HIV/AIDS anxiety and safer-sex information.
