This police department is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. Person stating that they are the parent may leave an infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.

Maintains information about people who may require special assistance in the event of a disaster that will tell emergency responders and volunteers where they are located and what type of care and support is needed. Registration is voluntary, but is strongly encouraged for people who have special medical needs (e.g., oxygen or life support systems that are dependent on electrical power) or have physical disabilities that complicate their ability to evacuate or use shelter facilities without assistance.

Visitation will be arranged per the conditions of the court order. These services are also available to families who are involved in child abuse/neglect investigations and subsequent court rulings.

On-site day rehabilitation is a one to six staffed program focused on skill building. This program assists developmentally disabled consumers in developing skills in the areas of independent living and social interaction.

The SkillUP program provides SNAP participants opportunities to gain skills, training, or experience that will improve their ability to attain employment and decrease their dependency on public assistance programs. The intention of the SkillUP program is rapid attachment to work that leads to self-sufficiency for individuals and families. The program offers job search training, education, and supportive services to participants. The SkillUP program provides short-term training in the quickest possible time in order to lead to employment. Training should be completed within one year or less, must align with the participant’s employment plan, and lead to employment and self-sufficiency.

Provides assistance in getting housekeeping and respite services for seniors through various agencies in the area; these services are provided to help keep the Seniors living independently for as long as possible.
