These include the evaluation of the child's needs prior to placement, and arrangements for care of the child prior to the child's adoptive placement and to the approval of the adoptive family. Also, special activities are provided to help adoptive parents and children adjust to the new family situation.

Provides support to victims and survivors of drunk drivers, including assistance with financial recovery, bereavement counseling, legal system advocacy.

Visits are made to home bound patients monthly or bi-monthly who live within Carroll County and may be requested by the family physician, family member or the individual.

Child Enrichment Program - Wood River: A state-licensed before and after-school child care enrichment program includes tutoring, cultural diversity curriculum, recreational and other activities. Extended or full-day programming provided for early dismissal and school-only holidays.

CSL provides water bill assistance if funding is available.

Group homes and Independent Supported Living locations for individuals with developmental disabilities. A variety of services are implemented to maximize clients' independence in daily living skills, personal health and safety, socialization, communication, recreation, and skills exploration.

Inpatient substance use detoxification treatment.

Accepts donations of personal grooming and hygiene products; call for details.

Provides gas cards when available for verified work or medical appointments. Clients must apply; no cards are immediately given. Application process can take up to a week. Vehicle must be insured and in the client's name. Based on grant funding.

Services offered through the Senior Centers include noon-time congregate meals, home-delivered meals to surrounding communities, social, recreational, and educational activities.

Vaccinations are provided to children and adults. As flu season approaches clinics are available to persons requesting flu vaccine (by appointment). Yellow fever vaccinations are provided by appointment to persons traveling to areas where there is a risk of exposure (preference given to Missouri residents).

Healthy living class for cancer survivors, group exercise and water fitness classes for people with arthritis, nutrition and weight loss programs, fitness goal sessions.
