TRS is a free 24-hour service that provides equal communication access via the phone to individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. Hamilton provides Relay in numerous contracted states as well as captioned telephone (Hamilton® CapTel®) nationwide and has established various programs to educate hearing healthcare professionals, aging adults and veterans around services available to individuals with hearing loss so they may stay connected to what’s most important in their lives.

This police department is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. Person stating that they are the parent may leave an infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.

City Union Mission Family Shelter houses single women, women with children, men with children, complete families and married couples. Residents of the shelter are provided with 3 meals daily, 24 hour security and case management.

The Health Department offers Tuberculosis (TB) skin testing and latent TB infection treatment, follow-up, and active TB disease case management and directly observed treatment and follow-up for all known contacts of an active case of TB. Anyone needing TB medication can receive the medicine free through the health department clinic with a physician's orders and initial assessment. Monthly health assessments are done by staff to monitor the patients progress while they are on the medicine.
