This health department is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. A parent or other person having lawful custody of an infant may leave the infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 60 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.

The Division of Youth Services (DYS) is the state agency charged with the care and treatment of delinquent youth committed to its custody by one of the 45 Missouri juvenile courts. DYS programs are established to provide the mandated services enumerated in Chapter 219.016 in the Revised Statutes of the state of Missouri. These services include assessment, care and treatment, and education of all youth committed to its care. Toward this end, DYS operates treatment programs ranging from non-residential day treatment centers through secure residential institutions. Additionally, DYS administers the Interstate Compact on Juveniles, operates an accredited school program, and maintains a statewide statistical database of juvenile court referrals. DYS is administratively organized into one central office and five regional offices.

Provides water bill assistance

The Appleton City Rural Health Clinic provides comprehensive health and medical services to all ages. Services include, but are not limited to, wellness services for children and adults, immunizations for children and adults, women’s health services, men’s health services, treatment of diabetes and other chronic health conditions, acute injuries or illness, medical counseling, limited mental health services, lab services, diagnostic, DOT physicals.

Provides consulting and placement into employment for individuals and consulting and services to businesses for recruitment, screening, retention, and training of employees. Rural Health Clinic that provides Family Practice services. OCH WEbb City Clinic services include wellness care (annual wellness exams, well woman exams, well child and sick child care, early periodic screenings), immunizations, treatment of acute illnesses and injuries (common cold, flu, earache, simple lacerations), management of acute and chronic health conditions (hypertension, diabetes care, COPD, hyperlipidemia), lab services, and OB (prenatal) services.

Limited funding as a last resort for medical equipment and supplies.

Assists persons in learning new skills and work behaviors that will lead to success in training and keeping a job. Also, provide opportunities to develop employment interests.

Provides trauma focused counseling services to children, adolescents and their families who have suffered from physical abuse.

Utility Assistance: Provides assistance to low-income individuals for water bill assistance. Partial payments are made to avoid utility cut-offs.

Provides meals to seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Delivery of meals to frail, homebound elderly. Meals are generally frozen and 7 days of meals are delivered once a week. In some cases up to two meals per each day. CAPACITY Through the use of frozen meals, can provide service for seven days a week and up to two meals per day.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.
