The Children's Division Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline Unit (CA/NHU) accepts confidential reports of suspected child abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Reports are received through a toll-free telephone line which is answered seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Any person may report, and anonymous reports are accepted from individuals who are not mandated by occupation to report. Calls of concern can be made to each county office. Instructions may be given for the reporter to call the toll free number of the CA/NHU for the call to be made into a formal report.

Utility Assistance: Provides assistance to low-income individuals for propane, wood and natural gas assistance. Partial payments are made to avoid utility cut-offs.

Provides language therapy focusing on communication skills that include understanding of language, interpreting non-verbal communication and engaging appropriately in conversation.

Pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners provides preventative care as well as the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions in adults and adolescents, services include immunizations.

Housing Counseling: Program educates clients on the home buying process, addresses barriers to mortgage readiness and makes the client mortgage ready if at all possible.

Provide stroke rehabilitation services via Occupational, Physical and Speech therapy.

Legal Aid of Western Missouri provides free legal representation and counsel to disadvantaged seniors and low-income residents in civil (non-criminal) matters. Legal Aid is currently only handling housing cases referred from the Right To Counsel (RTC) program or cases that involve the termination of a voucher or Section 8 eviction. If the client is faced with a court eviction within the city limits of Kansas City, please have them complete a RTC application through 211. If the client is experiencing a voucher termination or an eviction of their Section 8 housing, they can contact Legal Aid to do an application for assistance. Legal Aid has a limited capacity for cases due to capacity, so assistance may be limited at this time. Eviction assistance outside of RTC or Section 8 is not available.

Prescription Drug Program: Working with Rx Outreach provides a 90 to 180 day renewable prescription is submitted through our 143 participating parish conferences, based on prescriptions written by physician, clinic or hospital. Vouchers are mailed and Rx is mailed to clients.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Water Utility Assistance Program: Providing up to $500 in assistance towards delinquent water service balance. Any remaining balance, including the Refuse charge, will be account holder's responsibility as part of a 6 month or 12 month repayment plan. Assistance is first come first served and will close when funds run out.
