RAMP Program provides assistance for major home repairs.
Metro Lutheran Ministry is providing minor home repair to homeowners living in their service area. All home repair requests must be access-related repairs including wheelchair ramps.
Provides wheelchair ramp construction
Eligible KCMO homeowners who are in need of minor home repairs in targeted areas. The emergency home repair program is no longer in operation. Examples of eligible repairs include: Roofing, with a special emphasis on improvements which reduce storm water run-off from the site; Plumbing – water service line, which may include branch lines and water heater; Plumbing – sewer service line, which may include branch lines, or interior improvements; Electrical systems – service entrance and main panel, which may include branch circuits; and Furnace – (available September 1) repairs and replacements, which may include ductwork.
The City Home Repair Program assists Kansas City residents with eligible repairs, including: Roofing; Plumbing – water service line, which may include branch lines and water heater; Plumbing – sewer service line, which may include branch lines, or interior improvements; Electrical systems – service entrance and main panel, which may include branch circuits.
The Accessibility Modification Grant Program pays for installation or modifications to eliminate barriers in the home. Examples include: access ramps; connecting exterior door or housing unit to grade level; handrails and guardrails; accessible kitchen cabinets; doors widened if structurally feasible; bathroom grab bars and toilet safety rails; handicap accessible toilets; zero entrance shower stalls; new bathroom facilities to accommodate a wheelchair; other improvements deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
HopeBUILDERS is a collaborative housing repair group, made up of volunteers in the community. They assist those in need in the Kansas City area with accessibility adaptations and home repairs.
Emergency home repair program including minor roof repair.
VCP can assist with materials only (Written description and documented cost of materials requited). $1000 maximum assistance per year.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a City of Shawnee volunteer program that helps eligible residents maintain and remain in their home. Work is done by volunteers who can help with trash and snow removal, yard work, limited repairs, and other needs inside and outside the home.
RTKC provides home repairs, including building or repairing wheelchair ramps.
RTCC provides essential home repairs and safety modifications like installing grab bars, handrails, taller toilets, bathroom assistive devices, accessible showers, modified steps, and wheelchair ramps
The City of Olathe provides several housing programs to eligible homeowners including the Deferred Loan Program which is designed to address current building code violations, upgrade major systems and utilize energy-related improvements, the Emergency Repair Program is for repairs that affect health and safety, the Exterior Maintenance Program assists homeowners who are financially unable to make the necessary repairs after being cited with a code violation; Elderly Homeowner Assistance for general maintenance and a Handicap Accessibility Program designed to eliminate barriers in the home.

The Minor Home Repair program can help with small projects (1-2 hours) with materials paid for by the client. Examples of minor repairs include electrical (replace switches, sockets, plugs on cords, light bulbs; change fuses), plumbing (repair leaky faucets, shower heads, replace flapper valve on toilet, no drain work), carpentry (step repair, trim doors, repair door catches, cabinets, hinges; replace screens), replace furnace filters, evaluate concrete work, install weather stripping, smoke detectors, repair/replace locks. Referrals will be made for larger jobs.
Helps with all types of home repairs including repairing windows and doors including locks, installing security bars, kitchen cabinet repair, siding repair, step repair, lighting & wiring repair.

Jerusalem Farm will consider home repair that involves painting, drywall, reparing or building porches and decks, wheelchair ramps, window repair and weatherization. They will not do projects that involve plumbing, electric or foundation repair.
