Organized March 22, 1966, the Society exists to help people connect to the past by collecting, preserving, and sharing history. Photographs explore the heritage and pioneering spirit of Knox County and its impact on the lives of the people it represents. History is important because it connects us to specific times, places, and events that were significant milestones in our collective past. Society meetings are open, and the public is invited to attend. There are no membership fees.
