The Children's Center provides a 4-month intensive therapeutic residential environment for parents and children working to overcome domestic violence and family trauma. The program provides parents and children with wrap-around services, education, recreation, living accommodations, meals, transportation, case management, and the support needed to transition into long-term transitional housing followed by self-sufficient independence.

Consumers typically are those not seeking assistance through the temporary shelters. Provide outreach in the form of food/clothing/toiletry items to homeless individuals, all services taken to clients.
Individuals or families experiencing homelessness or in a housing crisis will be screened for entry into the community-wide housing services system and provided assistance with housing resources.

Individuals or families presenting as homeless or in a housing crisis will be screened for either diversion to emergency assistance services or entry onto the Johnson County Prioritized Housing Eligibility List and provided case management and related services.

Provides transportation to individuals experiencing homelessness to address issues leading to or resulting from being unhoused (to shelters, non-emergency medical, housing and legal appointments, job interviews, etc.) Cannot do errands or recurring rides to jobs or school due to limited resources.

Homeless Transportation Programs
Honk n Holler is an outreach program that travels throughout the community every week to areas where homeless people are known to be living. They bring soup, sandwiches, and coffee, as well as blankets, warm clothing and other necessities. The goal is to build a rapport with the homeless community and ultimately connect them with mainstream services that will help move them toward permanent or supportive housing and/or other services needed.
Frank Williams Housing Resource Center provides laundry facilities for persons who are homeless or precariously housed.
