Royal Oaks Hospital is an acute care hospital that specializes in helping individuals who may be experiencing behavioral and emotional problems which may or may not be complicated by alcohol and drug use. With three separate units they are able to accommodate all individuals requiring an increased level of behavioral healthcare in a appropriate setting. The hospital maintains a clinical affiliation with the University of Missouri-Columbia school of medicine and serves as a training site for students in the child-adolescent psychiatry program. Each student is supervised by a board certified psychiatrist and this training experience provides the hospital the latest advances in behavioral healthcare.
