Social Security issues
Must meet SSDI eligibility guidelines
Typically, must have worked and paid into program (payroll taxes) for five of the last ten years (there are some exceptions based on age and date of disability onset)
- Must be unable to work, cannot adjust to other work because of disability
- Disability has lasted or is expected to last for at least twelve months or result in death
- Must also have been disabled before reaching full-retirement age (65-67)
